First Project Complete!

Kimono-Style Outfit

I have finally finished my first project. There was a bit of struggle along the way....mainly because of a three year old who wanted to learn to sew too. But the project is complete; a kimono-style outfit for my nephew who is going to be turning one. I made it from an Amy Butler pattern from her book, Little Stitches for Little Ones. I absolutely love her fabrics, design, and patterns. The fabric I choose is from India. My husband bought it there for me almost five years ago! I have been saving it for the perfect project and I think it turned out great. Hopefully it will fit little Charles!

Caleb's new curtains
Along the way I decided to also sew some new curtains for my sons room. I found some super cute fabric designed after Eric Carle's, The Hungry Caterpillar. The curtains are very simple, but very bright and fun!

  1. Gorgeous work!!!!! Charlie will look so cute in that outfit and those curtains are beautiful and cheerful. I actually bought a second hand sewing machine and have been trying a couple of projects too - a birthday "pillowcase" dress for Grace, and pj's for Nathan :)

  2. Thanks Sarah! I am hoping to make the same outfit but with more natural colors for the soon-to-be baby you are baking. :) Just as soon as I know what colors to use....;)
